NCCSC is pleased to announce the addition of team member Dr. Sara Maxwell as Research Associate. Sara is an environmental justice and agroecology researcher and organizer. “I am delighted to work with the NC Climate Solutions Coalition to highlight economic and environmental activities here at home, in the communities of North Carolina’s Coastal Plain, that have a profound impact on climate change.” “Production methods on tree farms and other agricultural facilities on the coastal plain have enormous impacts on ground water quality and on rates of flooding and carbon sequestration, and I am pleased to work with Anita and Terri to give environmental justice communities in North Carolina a voice in addressing these issues.”
